What is 'The Equip Festival'?
This is our new name for what was previously called the 'Puppet and Creative Ministry Festival'. The core of the Festival (and what makes it really special) is the same... a fantastic selection of hands-on workshops covering a wide range of topics, incredible showcases to wow and inspire, a huge range of resources on display and of course... the buzz, excitement and fun of the Festival!
This Festival is for everyone... adults and children, those who have never considered using puppetry and creative ministries before to well-established teams and individuals who have been using this brilliant way of communicating the Gospel for years. It's not just puppetry that we have covered at our Festival, it also features... Gospel illusions, drama, amazing science object lessons, storytelling, ventriloquism, toddler groups, schools work, outreach, worship, all-age services, props, staging, sound, lighting and more! Want to get a taste of what our Festival is like?

So if you need an injection of inspiration, a boost of energy and cheer of encouragement,
then the Equip Festival is perfect for you.
Don't just take our word for it... what do previous delegates say about the Festival?
"We're home from our fourth festival and just had to let you know we felt this was the best yet. We had a great time and thought that this year's Academy Team absolutely outdid themselves. Obviously, you have all worked so hard - we know you do every year, but we had to give you the praise and encouragement you rightly deserve."
"Looking forward to the next Festival already - although not sure how you're going to beat this one! Thank you, each and every one of you, for giving us such an amazing event."
"Just wanted to say thank you so much for an amazing weekend last weekend [2019 Festival]. It was a joy to be with everyone and be surrounded by other creatives with a passion for sharing the Gospel. It is a rare and wonderful group indeed."
"Thanks for all your hard work at the Festival in Rugby. I thoroughly enjoyed it, particularly the informality of performers and presenters. Felt it was very much a family affair supporting like-minded family. Really good!"
"Fantastic event as always - it never gets tired and never fails to re-enthuse and inspire me. Thanks for all the hard work and effort, it is totally worth it!"
"Very well planned, very useful ideas and creativity for Christian ministry. I will highly recommend friends and our churches to attend the puppet festival."
"Love the Academy songs, loved the weekend, very inspiring, bringing new ideas and enthusiasm to the team. Another fabulous Festival. Looking forward to next year already!"
"Thank you for another wonderful festival. Even though our team has been running for 25+years we always pick up new ideas."

What workshops will be available?
The team are busy bringing together a fantastic selection of workshops ready for this year's Festival. These will cover not only new puppetry techniques but also, as requested on feedback from previous events, a wide range of children, youth and family ministry training, technical workshops and new illusion classes as well. So if you are one of the many regular delegates at the Festival there are plenty of brand new workshops for you to develop your skills further. If it is your first time joining the Festival, don't worry we have a great range of basic and introductory workshops to help you get started.
What else will be happening over the two days?
After carefully working through the programme, reviewing your feedback from previous years we have brought together a revised programme for this year's Festival. It will still feature all the favourites of five workshop sessions, showcases and updated competitions BUT NEW FOR 2022 we will be starting earlier on the Friday creating space and the opportunity to meet with other teams and individuals in your local area. also, after the Friday Night Showcase there will be a special 'Interactive After Hours Event' (hosted by Eddie the Donkey of course) PLUS a new special main hall session on the Saturday too. We will be announcing more information about all of this and the revised programme very soon.
The main showcase on Friday evening will see the 2022 Puppet Academy Team performing a number of brand new songs using a wide variety of puppets, techniques and creative arts, pushing the boundaries once again! We hope that this will inspire you to try out new performance ideas in your own teams. Alongside the Puppet Academy team on the Friday night and also in a second different showcase on the Saturday will be our outstanding special guests!

The Festival will also feature four competitions including: Puppetry, Ventriloquism/Solo Puppetry, the Lip Sync Challenge and a Creative Arts Competition. More information on these competitions will be available shortly.
Not forgetting worship at the start of each day as well as the opportunity to network with others, share ideas, find other teams that are local to you and encourage one another.
At the Equip Festival, there will also be our largest range of resources available for you to see, try and take back home with you, with many items on special offer. This will include all of our brand new product launches as well!

Changes to Festival Tickets
For 2022, we have updated the types of ticket available for the Festival. You can still book to attend either the full weekend (best value) or individual days, but instead of having a single ticket for everyone, we have introduced a reduced price ticket for children (15 and under). We hope this will help you bring more children from your teams to the Festival! We have also simplified the group discount so you now save 10% when 10 tickets or more are purchased (this can be any combination of adult or child, weekend or day tickets). If you add more tickets to your booking at a later date and this brings you over 10 places booked in total, we will apply the discount to all your tickets booked!
Can you sponsor someone to attend the Festival?
Thank you to everyone who generously donated to the 2019 'Make It Possible' fund, an incredible 12 places were gifted, all of these went to successful applicants enabling 12 people to attend the Festival who would have otherwise been unable to attend!
At One Way UK we are incredibly passionate about our ministry and providing resources and training to as many people as possible. We keep our resources and training as best value as we can to ensure it is accessible and we work hard to keep our Festival tickets affordable. We would love to see a full venue with hundreds of people being inspired, resourced and encouraged!
However, we also appreciate that puppet team members may have to fund their own places in order to attend the Festival. Each year we hear of those who are unable to come for financial reasons, but have a passion and enthusiasm to develop their skills and ministry further. So what can we do?
As much as we want to, One Way UK sadly can't afford to give out free places but we hope that others may be able to help. This is why we have established the "Make It Possible" fund. This is our way of matching up people's kindness and generosity with the need that is out there. We have set up a new ticket that can be purchased by itself or alongside a normal Festival booking. This acts as a gift into the 'Make It Possible' fund. One gifted ticket = one full weekend pass made available. Want to contribute but can't manage the full £40? We have now made it possible to donate smaller contributions to the fund too. Simply >>click here<< to be taken to the separate donation page where you can gift from £5 to the full ticket price into the fund.
It is clearly important that we are good stewards of this fund, so there will be a separate application process (click the 'Apply button to complete the online form) for those who are applying for the gifted passes. If you decide to gift a ticket, whilst we cannot pass on any information of the person who has been granted the support we can act as a 'middle-man' to pass on any encouragement or thanks either way.
Will you prayerfully consider if this fund and the individuals who apply is something that you can invest into? In the unlikely situation that the fund exceeds the demand, the fund will simply roll onto the following year. Our promise is that all tickets gifted will always be awarded to a successful applicant.
