Updates from One Way UK
UPDATE – Monday 23rd March 2020
We are open as normal!
Thank you to everyone who is getting in touch and for all those who have kindly donated, we are so grateful for all your support and encouragement. Our Online Resources Page has been viewed over 1,500 times in the last few days alone, thank you so much for sharing this resource with others in your churches and networks. We wanted to answer some common questions we are receiving at the moment:
1) Order Shipping
We wanted to confirm that we are still able to process and ship all orders that are placed. If there is any reason for a delay in your order a member of the team will call you and get in touch by email too.
2) Copyright and Filming
We have had many enquiries about our scripts/products being used in online services and broadcasts. Under normal copyright rules this wouldn’t be possible but we want to help however we can, so we are granting permission for a range of our resources to be used in this way. We are bringing together a new category on our website where any resources listed there may be filmed and shared on Facebook, YouTube or in your Online Services too. We can only grant permission for the resource that we own the copyright to. We are hoping for this new list of products to be available by Wednesday 25th March.
3) Digital Products
The team are continuing to work hard to make more of our resources available in a digital format and will post new updates when these are ready. You can sign up to our mailing list through the form at the top of this page to be notified by email when more updates are posted and to receive the latest news from One Way UK.
Take care and God bless,
Ian, Jenny, David and Cam
Wednesday 18th March 2020
At One Way UK we’re doing everything we can to make sure it’s business as usual so we can continue to provide resources – and keep our team safe.
With the concern over COVID-19 (Coronavirus) escalating by the day, we’d like to take this opportunity to update you on what we’re doing to keep everyone safe. The safety and wellbeing of our team and their families are paramount and we’re making daily decisions to maintain a supply of resources during this unprecedented time. There have been no confirmed cases in North East Lincolnshire and thankfully, none of our team have been directly affected by the outbreak.
We are closely monitoring the guidance being issued by the NHS and relevant Government bodies regarding the pandemic.
Are you still sending out orders?
Yes, absolutely! We’d like to reassure you that we’re still fulfilling all orders, with many products produced by our team in house, we are less reliant on outside suppliers. We’re still offering next day delivery with DHL and our standard and First Class orders are being shipped, as usual, with Royal Mail.
What are we doing to help?
1) NEW Resources
The team here are working hard to develop new resources designed for families at home and children’s workers to continue to reach families within their churches. We will be launching the first of these very shortly with more to follow next week.
2) NEW ‘Online Resource Centre’
This is completely free and now available here. There are so many great ideas being shared in a wide variety of Facebook groups for resources to stay connected with families even when church is not ‘physically’ meeting. But many of them may be missed if you are not part of those groups. We have created a central place where all of these ideas are linked and made available, whether they are Facebook groups, website resources, videos, activities, complete teaching packs ready to email out to your families, Pinterest boards of ideas, recommended apps or anything else we feel will help resource you. If you have links, websites or resources you would love to share with others please send them over to firstname.lastname@example.org where we can add them to the database.
3) Online Training
We are exploring different ways of making our Puppet Training available online. More details to follow.
4) Let us know!
How can we help you? What are you struggling with? Get in touch with David through the email above and we would love to continue to serve you however we can.
In line with recent government announcements, we are sad to confirm that we are postponing all Training Days for April and May. As I am sure you will understand, we are deeply disappointed but people’s safety and wellbeing is paramount. We will be looking to find new dates to move Training Days to, potentially later in 2020 if not 2021 when there are more available Saturdays. We will be in touch directly with all those who have booked onto these events where full refunds will be offered.
How can you help?
You can help contribute to our Online Resource Centre! Send your ideas and links to email@example.com and we will add them to the page. This will be constantly growing as more resources are added over the coming days and weeks.
As I am sure you are aware, major conferences that we have exhibited at for many years, including Big Church Day Out, Spring Harvest, New Wine and other smaller conferences along with our Training Days have all been cancelled. These conferences not only provide a valuable opportunity to share the incredible potential of puppetry but are also a major source of income for our ministry, helping to cover all our running costs and enable us to keep providing resources. We are totally committed to the long term ministry of One Way UK and will do whatever it takes to protect this. Sadly, we do not have the reserves in our bank account to cover all our bills if our income significantly drops.
The best thing you can do is pray and continue to order resources! We love to see our products being used across the country to share the Gospel in such a fun and interactive way.
We would also be incredibly grateful if you may also consider a financial gift to One Way UK, we are very understanding that financial situations are uncertain at the moment but any help you can offer, would mean so much to the team here. We have set up a donation page on our website through the link below, or you can call the team on 01472 362810. Thank you so much.
Our office and workshop team
We are following government guidelines for our office and ensuring all our team follow best hygiene practices as recommended by the World Health Organisation.
Staying in touch
Please stay tuned to our website and social media channels as we will post any relevant updates on the evolving situation. You can email our team in the office on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any specific questions or queries. We also have live chat available on our website during office hours for an instant response.
We will continue to monitor and adapt any of our processes as needed as the situation continues to evolve.
Most importantly, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our customers and friends, your support means the world to us.
