Updates from One Way UK
UPDATE – Thursday 16th July 2020
We are open as normal!
1) Order Shipping
We wanted to confirm that we are still able to process and ship all orders that are placed. If there is any reason for a delay in your order a member of the team will call you and get in touch by email too.
2) Training Days
We have postponed all Training Days until the end of 2020. We have contacted all those who have booked for these events and for refunds or transferring booking onto a future training event. We will be working with the hosts to find new dates for 2021!
3) Puppet and Creative Ministry Festival
Sadly our Puppet and Creative Ministry Festival won’t be taking place this year. The current restrictions in place for large gatherings and social distancing would not enable us to meet safely and comply with all of the necessary requirements. This coupled with the ongoing uncertainty mean that it just isn’t possible for us to hold the event this year.
We love the Festival in Rugby, it really is the highlight of our year and I know that it is the same for many of you. We are really going miss seeing everyone there, especially as our training days and all of the large Christian events that we would normally attend have all been cancelled too.
For the 2020 Festival we had the largest number of pre-bookings we have ever had. For everyone who has already booked, your tickets will automatically be transferred to next year’s Festival. However, if you would prefer to have a refund that is no problem, simply email us and we will process a full refund for you. If you have any questions, please call us on 01472 241068 or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can see our full announcement and video here.
4) Copyright and Filming
Regarding copyright and the rules around using our parody music in videos which are being shared through YouTube, Facebook and other ways that churches are moving online.
In these exceptional times, we want to do whatever we can do to help. In the past couple of days we have had confirmation and also permission from Creative Ministry Solutions (who produce the RPM parody music albums) that we can grant permission for our parody music to be used in online videos shared on any platforms. There are a couple of things that are important to note:
Firstly… There needs to be attribution wording in videos
This is really important, your video must feature the following wording (depending on which album the music came from). Either on screen at the start or end of the music or in a clear and obvious place in the description.
For Listen 2 Him Volumes 1-8, I’ve Lost My Sheep & Love is the Greatest
Parody Music Copyright: One Way UK Creative Ministries
Purchased from www.onewayuk.com
For RPM Volumes 1-20, RPM Easter, RPM Christmas Volumes 1-3, Holiday Rock Volumes 1-2, Love on the Cross & Praise and Shout
Parody Music Copyright: Creative Ministry Solutions
Purchased from www.onewayuk.com
If you have any questions regarding this or want to check you have published your video correctly, please email email@example.com who is happy to help however he can.
Secondly… There must be no financial gain to the videos
This is obviously unlikely, as churches are providing exceptional resources for free to make them as widely available as possible. But you cannot charge to view the video or make them available as part of a subscription, they must be freely available for anyone.
Please note, any other albums that are available on our website but not listed in the two sections above, are not able to be used without express permission which will need to be found from the original publisher or copyright owner.
Wednesday 18th March 2020
At One Way UK we’re doing everything we can to make sure it’s business as usual so we can continue to provide resources – and keep our team safe.
With the concern over COVID-19 (Coronavirus) escalating by the day, we’d like to take this opportunity to update you on what we’re doing to keep everyone safe. The safety and wellbeing of our team and their families are paramount and we’re making daily decisions to maintain a supply of resources during this unprecedented time. There have been no confirmed cases in North East Lincolnshire and thankfully, none of our team have been directly affected by the outbreak.
We are closely monitoring the guidance being issued by the NHS and relevant Government bodies regarding the pandemic.
Are you still sending out orders?
Yes, absolutely! We’d like to reassure you that we’re still fulfilling all orders, with many products produced by our team in house, we are less reliant on outside suppliers. We’re still offering next day delivery with DHL and our standard and First Class orders are being shipped, as usual, with Royal Mail.
What are we doing to help?
1) NEW Resources
The team here are working hard to develop new resources designed for families at home and children’s workers to continue to reach families within their churches. We will be launching the first of these very shortly with more to follow next week.
2) NEW ‘Online Resource Centre’
This is completely free and now available here. There are so many great ideas being shared in a wide variety of Facebook groups for resources to stay connected with families even when church is not ‘physically’ meeting. But many of them may be missed if you are not part of those groups. We have created a central place where all of these ideas are linked and made available, whether they are Facebook groups, website resources, videos, activities, complete teaching packs ready to email out to your families, Pinterest boards of ideas, recommended apps or anything else we feel will help resource you. If you have links, websites or resources you would love to share with others please send them over to firstname.lastname@example.org where we can add them to the database.
3) Online Training
We are exploring different ways of making our Puppet Training available online. More details to follow.
4) Let us know!
How can we help you? What are you struggling with? Get in touch with David through the email above and we would love to continue to serve you however we can.
How can you help?
You can help contribute to our Online Resource Centre! Send your ideas and links to email@example.com and we will add them to the page. This will be constantly growing as more resources are added over the coming days and weeks.
As I am sure you are aware, major conferences that we have exhibited at for many years, including Big Church Day Out, Spring Harvest, New Wine and other smaller conferences along with our Training Days have all been cancelled. These conferences not only provide a valuable opportunity to share the incredible potential of puppetry but are also a major source of income for our ministry, helping to cover all our running costs and enable us to keep providing resources. We are totally committed to the long term ministry of One Way UK and will do whatever it takes to protect this. Sadly, we do not have the reserves in our bank account to cover all our bills if our income significantly drops.
The best thing you can do is pray and continue to order resources! We love to see our products being used across the country to share the Gospel in such a fun and interactive way.
We would also be incredibly grateful if you may also consider a financial gift to One Way UK, we are very understanding that financial situations are uncertain at the moment but any help you can offer, would mean so much to the team here. We have set up a donation page on our website through the link below, or you can call the team on 01472 362810. Thank you so much.

Most importantly, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our customers and friends, your support means the world to us.
